From a customer at least when paired with the Netgear WGT624 WAP / router, this card has a substantial look beyond such was the DLINK 614 + is currently in use. I can go to a corner of the house for a downstairs bedroom in the corner opposite upstairs in the house, on a water bed at almost full speed (this DLINK gave some problems). It also has a nifty utility that does a better job than Windows with settings and statistics (as the current network speed). A small problem could be the heat that makes this card is always a problem with a laptop. Nolden I bought this card to an old Dell Inspiron 7000 running Win98 SE. If you buy this card, I recommend that you first go to the website click on the tab [..],, downloads selected, highlight the WG511T adapter and download the latest firmware, version 3.9. To decompress, has the driver file, the user guide and installation guide. Read the installation guide before doing anything. Do not bother with the CD-ROM. I tried to open an internet connection, but failed to do so after "Detecting proxy settings" message was displayed for a while. It replaced a NetGear 802.11b card. Worked great! Then the blue screens of death began. I tried several combinations with Windows XP to control the board (in the guidelines, but is more stable) and with different software versions of the software and check paper from Netgear to no avail. I'm now up to the last attempt, using Windows software update for the card using Windows, check card, we'll see. Benefits-incredible amount. Showing two networks in my neighborhood then.
